The structures are built using a frame of welded elements of elevated inertia to obtain the necessary rigidity on the three axes. Planes and alignments are accurately machined on the assembled frame to guarantee that the thrust and counter thrust devices are parallel and along correct axes.

Pressure is read by an extensometric type pressure transducer which the MONOTRONIC readout unit displays as a load reading.
